Just confirming initial reports out of Sony’s CES 2010 presentation last night, Sony will introduce two separate firmware updates to the Playstation 3 this year, the first enabling 3D stereoscopic gaming to the Playstation 3, and the second bringing 3D stereoscopic movie functionality.

As we reported earlier, Sony are showcasing the tech at this year’s CES show with both Gran Turismo 5 and Super Stardust HD, and the company will launch their first 3D enabled Bravia television this summer.
